Bicycling is a very popular activity in the area. Cycling around Lakes Como and Lecco is stunning, and there are plenty of back roads and open roads to enjoy. For the casual cyclist there are some lovely flat rides along the beautiful river Adda about 30 minutes away.
You can to plan your own itineraries and bicycles can be rented in Malgrate, near Lecco, at Rush Cycles. Or they can be rented and delivered through Bike Events, a trusted local company with a range of options from high-end carbon frames to hybrids and even tandems.
Helmets can be rented but it’s recommended that serious cyclists bring their own.
